Bird and Artist

A still-life series composed of fruit and flowers, ceramic and glass containers with a bird as the central figure, all supported by a well-known artist's work hanging on the wall behind it.

When I was young and hungry for knowledge and understanding, I spent hours copying impressionist artists’ work, learning as much as was available on their methods and use of color, mediums and brushes. In this series I put that study to use and as acknowledgement of their contribution to me as an artist.
